Bear Aware Story Walk- A Collaboration with the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center

All About Bears
Event Date:
Saturday, June 10, 2023 (All day) to Friday, August 4, 2023 (All day)

When: June 10 to August 4 from dawn to dusk

Where:  Gibson Park

Audience:  Community members of all ages

What:  Take a stroll in Gibson this summer to learn more about bears and bear safety with our Bear Aware Story Walk!  Read All About Bears by Jennifer Szymanski, then find out how to safely share the woods with Montana’s top predators.  This bear safety presentation was created by Forest Rangers at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.  It is color-coded with age-appropriate information for little kids, big kids, and adults.

The Gibson Park Story Walk starts and ends at the parking area near the bandshell. The stroller-friendly path begins at the statue of Paris Gibson, loops around the duck pond, and ends back at the parking area. It is less than a mile long.
