Amy Rae Pearson will discuss her second collection of poetry titled 'Poems for Certain Women' with us in the Cordingley Room. Amy is a writer, teacher, and wilderness advocate. She grew up on a farm in northcentral MT and earned a Ph.D. in organizational communication from Arizona State University. After finishing her formal education, she hit the road to Asia for a few years, but found herself missing the mountains of Montana. Amy has worked for the Park Service, Forest Service, in the environmental non-profit sector, and now as a professor at Great Falls College. Her newest book is dedicated to her Grandma Harriet, who was also a poet.
