03 May AAUW/Friends of the Library Book Sale
The book sale is happening!
The Friends of the Great Falls Public Library and the American Association of University Women-Great Falls are excited to announce the dates of their joint Used Book Sale!
The AAUW and Friends had to cancel their respective book sales in 2020, and are taking this opportunity to work together to help make up for lost funding during the past year. Both organizations support the library, and funds have been used for a wide variety of materials and services that would be otherwise unavailable.
Currently, the Friends of the Library sponsor the three free parking spots in front of the library and the library’s subscriptions to Wowbrary, the weekly newsletter of new books and movies, Shoutbomb, a library account texting service, and Kit Keeper, the software used to maintain accessible records for the library’s book kits.
The Great Falls branch of the AAUW supports both the public library and the Weaver Library at Great Falls College-MSU, along with many other community activities and organizations, including the H.A.N.D.S. program that provides before- and after-school care for elementary students at area schools.
Due to it’s small size that prohibits distancing and requires extra volunteers, the AAUW’s Special Collection Room will not be open during the May sale, but should be open for the October sale.
Library management would like to remind all patrons that for the continued safety and health of our volunteers and staff, masks are required to be worn by all persons over the age of 5 years while in the library building.
