Montana Library Association Library Program of the Year for Bilingual Storytime

The Great Falls Public Library is proud to announce that our Youth Services Librarian, Rae McFadden, and our program partner Conservatory ASL Northwest www.aslcan.com are the winners of the Montana Library Association Library Program of the Year for Bilingual Storytime. Bilingual Storytime is presented in American Sign Language and voiced in English. The Program of the Year Award is conferred on a single project, program, or innovation which demonstrates excellence.
The Great Falls Public Library and ASL-CAN started presenting Bilingual Storytime in January of 2020, moving the program online when in-person gatherings were no longer possible. A new Bilingual Storytime is uploaded to the library’s Youtube channel, GFPL Kids’ Place weekly on Tuesdays. Previous storytimes are available to watch any time.
