Tax help Montana (THM) is a coalition of community partners, working together to provide no-cost tax preparation and access to other financial services. THM has many locations and options to assist you with filing your taxes.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $55,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Open Jan 22 – Apr 16, Mondays 10am – 7pm and Saturdays 10am – 5pm
VITA – Facilitated Self-Assist: Great Falls Senior Center | 1004 Central Ave
Mondays 10am to 7pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm; Computers available for taxpayers who are comfortable with
preparing their own tax return with help from an IRS-certified volunteer.
Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE): Great Falls Senior Center | 1004 Central Ave
Open Fridays from 10am – 5pm beginning January 26 – April 13. This is a TCE site which gives preference to taxpayers
age 60 and over.
