The Great Falls Public Library Foundation

The Great Falls Public Library Foundation is a tax-deductible, 501(c)3 organization that exists to provide resources for the Great Falls Public Library. The foundation meets this goal in several ways by:

Maintaining, managing and dispersing funds in an investment portfolio
Accepting and dispersing donations and bequests for the library that are either earmarked for specific projects
or invested for future allocation
Raising funds each year through a Children's Book-A-Thon; these funds are split, with half going to the purchase
of new books for the children's department and half to the building of the corpus, which are invested and the
earnings are used to help the library in perpetuity.

The Foundation is a separate entity from the Great Falls Public Library and the City or County. The foundation is managed by a nine-member Board of Directors. The foundation has a sound and conservative investment strategy and is audited on a regular basis.
