Why Should Kids Have All the Fun?
The Great Falls Public Library continues its annual Adult Summer
Reading program,
Book
Buzz, through August 12. This year's theme, Travel
Light: Pack a Book, highlights how reading opens up
and allows us to travel to worlds both real and imaginary. Anyone
19 and older with a library card can participate. Library cards
are FREE to anyone who lives in Cascade County. To get a card,
bring in picture ID and proof of address.
Participation is simple. For every book read during Travel
Light: Pack a Book, participants will be able to submit
an entry for both grand and weekly prizes. Entry forms will
be available at the library. A weekly winner will be drawn each
Friday. People can also participate in interactive Literary
Game & Puzzle Contests. Winners of those contests (chosen
from all correct entries) and two grand prize winners will be
drawn at a closing party on Friday, August 12, from Noon
- 2:00 p.m. The party, which will be hosted by the Friends
of the Great Falls Public Library, is open to the public
and includes refreshments and live music performed by The
Montana Old Time Fiddlers.
Weekly prizes will include gas cards, i-Tune cards, gift cards
from downtown businesses and 2-Js Produce. The two grand prizes
will be free library parking for one year and an Ipod Shuffle.
Patrons are also encouraged to submit their own brief book reviews.
Staff approved reviews shall be posted in the lobby of the library.
Staff will also post reviews of favorite books.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Great Falls
Public Library.
